Dashain, Nepal’s biggest and most cherished festival, is a time for family, blessings, and togetherness. This year, GVS extended the spirit of Dashain beyond our own homes and families by celebrating with 72 orphaned children at Manav Sewa Ashram in Hetauda. The presence of new well-wishers who came to offer tika, blessings, and traditional cash gifts brought immense joy to the children, many of whom rarely experience such affection. Their bright smiles and heartfelt excitement reflected the true essence of the festival. For us, the greatest achievement was witnessing their happiness, their sense of belonging, and the collective warmth shared during the celebration. Moments like these strengthen our commitment to fostering care, dignity, and hope for every child.
