Why?

Our Mission

"To work amongst the deprived and underprivileged community to inspire and motivate them to realize their human dignity, develop their capacity, and help them to solve their problems." The organization strives to work for the social and economic development of people by providing whatever practical help they need in the form of information, advice, capacity building, training, and support.

How?

Strategy

Prevention of poor mental health is not only possible, but urgently needed. Our strategy affirms our commitment to making prevention happen, so that people across the Nepal can live mentally healthier, and, thus, happier lives.

We are focusing on three key areas:

Impact: We will systematically consider how to scale ideas informed by evidence. We will build partnerships and alliances that increase the impact and reach of our work.
Influence: We will provide evidence and the voice of lived experience to advocate for preventive approaches and create campaigns that tackle the root causes of poor mental health.
Integrity: We will continue to build a strong organisation that lives its values - that is open, kind, outward-looking and sustainable.

What?

Our Work

We are dedicated to improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of individuals and communities. Our work is focused on prevention, promotion, capacity building, stigma reduction, and advocacy with stakeholders.

  • We believe that mental health is an integral part of overall health and well-being, and that everyone has the right to access high-quality mental health services and support.
  • We work closely with communities to identify their unique needs and to develop tailored programs and services that are effective, sustainable, and culturally appropriate.

One of our key areas of focus is prevention.
  • We believe that by addressing mental health issues before they become more severe, we can help individuals and communities build resilience and improve their overall quality of life.
  • To this end, we offer a range of prevention programs and services that aim to promote mental wellness, build coping skills, and reduce risk factors for mental health problems.

Another important aspect of our work is capacity building.
  • We believe that empowering individuals and communities with knowledge and skills is key to creating lasting change.
  • We offer training and education programs that equip individuals with the tools they need to support their own mental health and that of others.

Stigma reduction is also a critical component of our work.
  • We know that stigma and discrimination can prevent individuals from seeking the help they need, and can exacerbate mental health problems.
  • We work to raise awareness about mental health issues, challenge negative stereotypes and beliefs, and promote a more accepting and inclusive society.

Finally, advocacy with stakeholders is an important part of our work.
  • We believe that systemic change is necessary to improve mental health outcomes, and we work to engage with policymakers, health care providers, and other stakeholders to promote policies and practices that support mental wellness.
Overall, our work is aimed at creating a more mentally healthy and resilient world, one community at a time. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals have access to the care and support they need to thrive.
Our ongoing, online counseling project with CWWPP (COALITION FOR WORK WITH PSYCHO-TRAUMA & PEACE) add as a benchmark to support affected people in any places of Nepal. We welcome diversity background and provide national and international facilitator to support you.
