Sapajaru Tole Sudhar Samiti, located in Lalitpur District, marked a significant milestone by
organizing its first-ever Mental Health Awareness Program for the community. This initiative
created an important platform for open dialogue, reflection, and collective learning around
emotional well-being.
For many participants, it was their first structured engagement with the topic of mental health.
Community representatives acknowledged the value of such programs and expressed the
importance of conducting awareness sessions annually. The concept of “knowing myself” —
understanding one’s thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns — resonated deeply among
attendees. Participants also emphasized the need to identify early signs of emotional distress and
actively reach out for support during times of crisis.
The program concluded with strong participation, thoughtful interaction, and positive
appreciation toward Golden Vision Society (GVS). The success of the session reaffirmed the
growing recognition that mental health awareness is not a one-time event, but an ongoing
commitment to building a healthier, more supportive community.
