Khokana is widely recognized for its traditional mustard oil production and locally made titaura
(spiced sour fruit delicacies). The village carries a rich cultural heritage rooted in community-
based craftsmanship and small-scale entrepreneurship.
Golden Vision Society (GVS) proudly extended its support to the women of Khokana who are
actively engaged in the production of titaura, strengthening their economic independence
through collective effort and local enterprise. By fostering skills development and encouraging
sustainable income-generating activities, these women have become powerful examples of
resilience and community leadership.
Their inspiring journey—marked by perseverance, mutual support, and a growing awareness of
mental health—has further motivated GVS to broaden its initiatives. Witnessing how economic
empowerment combined with mental health education can transform lives has strengthened our
commitment to working more extensively across communities, promoting both financial
independence and emotional well-being.
