Disabled Service Association is one of Nepal’s oldest organizations serving children with disabilities, providing a safe shelter for those abandoned or overlooked by their families. Currently home to 55 children, the Association fosters a supportive community where daily responsibilities are shared and children uplift one another. Despite studying in mainstream schools, they face significant challenges related to behaviour expectations, the Nepali curriculum, and a uniform education pattern that does not recognize their disabilities. As they are not officially categorized as students with disabilities in their schools, they must compete under the same standards, often in demanding circumstances. Golden Vision Society stands firmly with these children, offering moral support and helping them build emotional and physical resilience to navigate these challenges with strength and dignity.
